On 2nd February 2024, Letšeng Diamonds hosted an annual scholarship awards ceremony at Lancer’s Inn Hotel Maseru. The scholarship forms part of the Corporate Social Responsibility and Investment (CSRI) programme which aims at fostering Social and economic development that will sustain the communities beyond the life of the mine.
The scholarship awards recipients from different areas of studies included those that are graduating:
Relebohile Malebo -BHS in Emergency Medical Care
Sebongile Motseki- BEng Tech in Metallurgy
Matlali Seutloali- BSc in Mechatronics
Lebellang Tshepe- National Diploma in Millwright
Neo Metsing – BSc Hons in Geology
Poloko Monaheng- MSc in Mining Engineering.
In 2024, there is total of 4 new scholarship recipients in different areas;
Rabasotho Lerotholi- MSc Geotechnical Engineering
Selloane Lechesa -MSc in Mining Engineering
Matlhapi Suthane- National Diploma in Millwright
Tlalane Mahase -MSc in Mining Engineering.
One continuing student, Lekunutu Letela -Diploma in Millwright.

Sebongile Motseki – BEng Tech in Metallurgy
Relebohile Malebo- BHS in Emergency Medical Care
Since the inception of the Scholarship programme in 2006, over M17,8 Million has been spent on the programme with total scholarship awards recipients of 55 young Basotho.
