As a committed corporate citizen of Lesotho, the Company whole-heartedly adopts and embraces the principles of Corporate Social Responsibility and Investment (CSRI), addressing the company's overall response to economic, social and environmental considerations and in addition to its regular business activities, the company's contribution to the communities and the nation in which it operates.

Our CSRI Policy focuses on the establishment and maintenance of strong relationships with local communities, the nation and other stakeholders as part of our mining business strategy. The CSRI Committee, which meets at least once per financial quarter, assists communities with the technical know-how and the skills to draft and present sustainable projects. The sub-committee guides the approval of donations to projects that demonstrate the ability to benefit and uplift a community and administers an educational fund that has been established in agreement with the Government of Lesotho. We identify suitable Lesotho nationals for whom scholarships can be provided for in the areas relating to developing Lesotho's natural resources.

Our project criteria focus on real needs, improving quality of life, development that will sustain mine-adjoining communities beyond the mine's planned life, participation and ownership by the community, supervision by the company to ensure proper management from inception through to maturity and independence, mechanisms that ensure good governance, financial viability and implementation-readiness, project self-sustainability and the fostering of self-reliance
