Mazvivamba Manthethe
Mazvivamba (Mazvi) Manthethe D.T. Maharasoa, Chief Executive Officer
Mazvi holds a Masters degree in International and Commercial Law. She joined Letšeng Diamonds as the Resident Director in 2007 from the Central Bank of Lesotho, where she was the Acting-Secretary to the Board, and simultaneously served on the Board of Letšeng Diamonds as a Government appointed Non-executive Director. Prior to working as the Acting-Secretary to the Board,  Mazvi was the Principal Legal Advisor to the Ministry of Natural Resources, where she was instrumental in the negotiations of mining leases and the drafting of the current Mines and Minerals Act (2005). Mazvi was appointed Letšeng Diamond’s Chief Executive Officer in November 2009.
 
Stephen Gould
Stephen Gould – Chief Operations Officer
Stephen joined Letšeng following 30 yearsof experience in the diamond industry with De Beers. He graduated with a BSc Mining Engineering. He wasappointed Mine Superintendent at Finsch mine after 10 years on various DeBeers operations. He has spent 7 years as the General Manager of Namaqualand Mines and Jwaneng Mine and completed his time with DeBeers as Head of Strategic Business Development and Projects for DeBeers Consolidated Mines in South Africa. More recently Stephen spent 3 years working for Anglo Platinum as a Programme Manager and Senior Mining Engineer. Steve brings particular expertise in leadership, management, safety and mining. He has through his career initiated major strategic interventions focusing on continuous improvement, extending the life of mine, building new mines and finding alternatives for the communities at completion of mining projects.
He started working for Letšeng in August, 2011.
 
John Houghton
John Houghton, General Manager: Production
John has 27 years' experience in the southern African mining industry. Of this, 21 years was with De Beers in South Africa and Namibia. He also served as Engineering Manager at New Diamond Corporation (Pty) Ltd prior to joining Letšeng in 2003. He has gained extensive experience in various aspects of metallurgical and engineering processes related to the mining of diamonds.
 
Bob Burrell
Bob Burrell, Strategic Technical Services Manager
Bob holds a BSc (Honours) in Geology from Edinburgh University, Scotland, graduating in 1972. He Joined De Beers Prospecting (Zambia) in 1973 and spent entire career with De Beers, either prospecting for diamonds, sampling and evaluating diamond deposits or managing diamond resources. After 7 years in Zambia, where he discovered a number of kimberlites (but no mines), he was transferred to alluvial diamond deposits off Namibia’s west coast. Based in Cape Town, he worked on the De Beers Marine ships, sampling and evaluating what would become Namibia’s offshore diamond mines. A two year stint in Anglo American Head office in Johannesburg as Technical Assistant to the Consulting Geologist (Diamonds) was followed by a return to kimberlite prospecting for 6 years as De Beers Regional Exploration Manager for the Cape and Free State based in Kimberley. Then he returned to a Cape Town base, where he was seconded to an offshore miner that was contracted to Namdeb, working the offshore deposits. This contractor also had licences in Russia, where he conducted geophysical and diamond sampling surveys of the White Sea, based out of Arkhangel’sk and Murmansk in Russia’s far north-west straddling the Arctic Circle. Finally, he was transferred to the alluvial mines in Oranjemund in Namibia, where he was Manager of Mineral Resources and Environment for 12 years until my retirement in February 2010. He joined Letšeng in February 2011.
 
Jon Tully
Jon Tully, Financial Manager
Jon has extensive financial experience across a wide range of industries. He has been Financial Manager of Netcare Medical Holdings Ltd and a multinational logistics and maritime company. Jon joined Letšeng in 2004. He has a CIS qualification which he obtained while studying at the Centre of Continuing Accounting Education - University of the Witwatersrand. He is also an MBA graduate from Oxford Brookes University in the UK.
 
Wayne Louw
Wayne Louw, Mining Manager
Wayne holds a National Diploma in Matalliferous Mining and has 25 years experience in mining. He worked at Rand Mines in South Africa as Shift Boss from 1988 to 1991. He spent 11 years at Sishen Iron Ore Mine as production shift foreman, pit scheduler and master technician, production engineer and head loading, hauling and dispatch from 1991 to 2002. From 2002 to 2004 he worked as the Mine Manager at Aquarius Platinum in South Africa. He spent the last 6.5 years as the Unit Manager (Mine Planning and Production) at Goldfields Mine in Ghana from 2004 to 2010. Wayne joined Letšeng Diamonds as the Mining Manager in 2010.
 
Moea Makhakhe
Moea Makhakhe, Human Resources Manager
A Lesotho national, Moea completed his BA Law degree in 2002. He has worked at the Ministry of Labour as a Principal Labour Inspector where he received training on Industrial Relations and Co-operation through joint labour/management strategies. Subsequently he served in various tripartite bodies' secretariats, including the National Wages Advisory Board. After joining Letšeng in 2007 as Industrial Relations Officer, Moea became HR Manager in November 2007.
 
Moea Makhakhe
Lithathane Nkhasi, Site Services Manager
Lithathane holds a national diploma and a BTech degree in electrical engineering from a South African university; he has 19 years’ experience in the electrical industry and has completed the Certified Energy Manager’s development.He has recently completed his Management studies with Gibs (Gordon Institute of Business Studies, University of Pretoria); he holds memberships to Lesotho Electricity Grid Code committee and Letšeng’s Safety and Environmental Steering Committees. Prior to joining Letšeng he worked as Engineering Manager at Lesotho Flour Mills, he has also worked for Lesotho Electricity Corporation and Loti Brick (Pty) Ltd. He joined Letšeng as an electrical engineer in 2008 and in February 2010 he joined Letšeng Executive Committee as Site Services Manager.
