On Friday the 12th July 2024, Letšeng Diamonds had the honour of welcoming Central Bank of Lesotho Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Letete and the South African Reserve Bank Governor, Mr. Lesetja Kganyago to the Letšeng Diamonds Discovery Centre (LDDC). During the visit, the two Governors, were given a comprehensive tour of the state-of-the-art facilities at the LDDC, showcasing the innovative processesinvolved in diamond exploration and production. The interactive sessions provided valuable insights into the diamond sector’s, and in particular Letšeng’s contribution to the economic landscape of Lesotho.
Letšeng Diamond Mine is situated high in the Maluti Mountains of Lesotho. Letšeng Diamonds (Pty) Ltd holds the mining lease granted in 1999 by the Government of Lesotho.
